Its that time again!!! We are doing our Design Team Call for the month of February. Submissions close on the 25th of this month.

Are you enthusiastic about scrapbooking?? Then I would love to hear from you! All you need to do is email me at leanne.lovett@bigpond.com with 2 of your favourite layouts (please resize photos for easy sending) a bit about yourself and a link to your blog.

You will need to committ to 1 kit a month (2-3 layouts) and our Facebook Challenge.

Our First Challenge Of The Year!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I have been a bad blogger so fingers crossed I will be better this year!! As always with a new year there will be lots of changes as we enter our 6th year of business!! I know I am so excited to be sharing this with you all!!!

But to start off the new year we have our first challenge!! The prize is this fantastic Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze Collection Park valued at $18!!!! These papers are just stunning!!!

All you have to do is complete a layout using 3+ small photos (so photos that are smaller than 6 x 4). Upload your layout onto our Facebook Page or by email leanne.lovett@bigpond.com by the 25th of January to be in the running!!

Well I have been a very bad Blogger!!!!!!!!! So much has been happening over on our Facebook Page that our blog has been a bit neglected!!!

A big thank you to everyone who applied for our Design Team!! I was blown out of the water with the number of applications!! Its always such a really hard decision!!

So excited to be able to introduce you to our DT Team!!!!! I hope you get lots on inspiration from them!!!!!

Introducing Michelle Wallace

I am a mother to four children and live in the southern suburbs of South Australia. I have been scrapbooking now for just over 8 years and I don't think that I would know what life was without it. In my free time I teach scrapbooking. I have been on several design teams and have enjoyed showing others what can be done with products. I have been the Fiskars Ambassador for South Australia for over 4 years now and host regular crops here in South Australia for Fiskars. I don't feel that I have a true style as such I like to dabble in every style. I tend to make the photos or the story the centre of my work and go from there. This will often affect what style I am using at the time. I love creating dimension in a layout, so tend to enjoy layering, stitching and embellishing of all sorts. I like my layouts to be not too busy. My styles came about by basically trying things till I found what I liked. I love thinking outside the box and mixing it up a bit. I am a very passionate scrapbooker and love teaching. For me scrapbooking means the ability to be able to take time and smell the roses.

Introducing Tamara Roach

I’m Tamara, I live in Perth with my husband Ian and our two children – Lily (4) and Benji (10 months).

I started scrapping about 3 years ago, when Lily was a baby, and since then I would say that my style has changed quite a bit. I started out as a 12x12 scrapper, but quickly decided that the ‘square’ wasn’t for me, and now only scrap a ‘rectangle’ 8.5x11 layout. Although I scrap in the smaller format, I still like to have one main photo be the focus on the layout, and one cluster of embellishments with some white space on the layout.

Hi there !! Tina Reynolds here from the Sunny Coast of Queensland
I'm a 28 year old (swedish)stay at home mum of two. Happily married to my partner in crime and we live in Mooloolaba !

Been scrapping since 2004 and LOVE everything about it !!

Love working with pattern papers and everything that goes with it ;0) I guess my style varies from time to time but I do like a bit of a white space. Like cutting into pattern papers and layer it !! I also do a fair bit of Off the page.

Good morning!!! We have suffered floods and cyclones in QLD (we are fine) and now fires in WA!! I hope that everyone is safe and sound.

Have lots to share with you this morning. First up is a gorgeous OTP Project from DT Member Sandra.

We gave Sandra a Maya Road Dress Form and together with some Fancy Pants Pattern Paper and lots of embellishments (including little 2011 calendars from Coz I Want) Sandra has created a 2011 Calendar!!

What a fantastic idea for the scrappin desk!!!!!!!

My wonderful customer and friend Jeanelle makes her own range of flowers and we are happy at Mad About Scrappin to be exclusively selling them!!!!

I am a mother of 4 beautiful boys, one of whom is an Angel. My son Harrison was born on the 14th of September 2010. He was diagnosed with an incurable condition, (‘diaphramatic hernia’) and died on the 15th of September 2010. Being an avid scrap booker, I embarked upon creating albums for the parents who had gone through the same experience. I now donate 6x6 Baby albums to the hospital for the parents who have lost their babies. This scrapbooking crop day will be raising money for these albums.

Shadow Boxes

DT Members Sandra & Leanne have both been busy with some OTP items to inspire you.

Both were sent the gorgeous WOW MDF Shadow Box Frame and lots of goodies to decorate them.

First up is Sandra's stunning frame. She has used a diecut from the Fancy Pants Range of Pattern Papers instead of a photo!! What a fantastic idea.

Sandra has also used Amore Chipboard word from A 2 Z Scraplets and some gorgeous roses, feathers and pearl string!

DT Leanne has gone for a vintage look with her shadow box and its really effective. Once again there is the Amore Chipboard word from A 2 z Scraplets and some handmade flowers from Coz I Want.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

I hope you are all ready for the big guy coming next week!!

With every new year we always look at ways to change and make things better and with Facebook being such a big part of everyones life I have started a Facebook Page for Mad About Scrappin

I hope you will come over and like us!! We are having a giveaway over there at the moment!!

In saying that I have decided to close the forum. I belive that Facebook will be an even better and quicker way of getting information to you!!

We will still be having our competitions and even more giveaways and sales. You can still upload your layouts over on our Facebook page!!!

Its just about saving time and offering you a better service!!! Our blog will also be updated more with some exciting OTP ideas!!

Our Design Team has been busy once again this month with some of the very gorgeous new Fancy Pants Pattern Paper and more of the glittery My Minds Eye!

Lilac Avenue is designed by DT Louise. Lousie was given some of the gorgeous Lilac Ave Pattern Paper by Fancy Pants. Lousie designed 3 layouts including a gorgeous hanging layout!

In this kit you will receive 4 Pattern Paper, 2 x Cardstock, Sticker Element Sheet, Chipboard Bird and an assortment of embellishments!

Mad About Scrappin is looking for Design Team Members.

This is a 6 month contract. In this time members will have to complete 1-2 kits per month. These may involve class kits which require written instructions.

The Design Team Member will also be required to join in on our Monthly Challenges, Cyber Crops and Forum Discussions.

If you are unable to committ to this DO NOT APPLY!!!!

Applications close on the 31st of July.

You will need to complete 2 challenges. These need to be emailed to me at leanne.lovett@bigpond.com with a bit about yourself and a link to your blog as well as any other DT Positions you already hold.

First Challenge is a sketch Challenge

Retreat Class Kits Now Available!!

Our Retreat Class Kits have now been released for pre purchase. There are 2 classes being held on the Saturday. You won't want to miss out!! Just head here to purchase. During checkout just select customer pick up so you are not charged postage.

If you just wish to buy the kits but not join in the class you are more than welcome to do that.

Emma will be holding our first class in the morning. You will be making this gift box which is padded with wadding and fabric. To sit on the box you will complete a little mini album. There is also a single page layout as well. fantastic value!!!! You will recieve templates and instructions so you can do this again and again!!!

We are looking for someone who has an absolute passion for the craft, a versatile scrapper who can use a wide range of products and off the page items!!

This DT Position is for a 6 month period unless otherwise stated. You will need to complete a monthly kit. Class kits that require instructions may also be sent out during the 6 month period.

You will also have to complete any Blog challenges and Blog Cyber Crops that Mad About Scrappin may have.

You will need to have an up to date blog to be eligible for the DT Team

You will need to do the following

1) Tell us a bit about yourself. What is your style, your blog address, any other DT Teams that you may be on.

2) Send 2 current layouts. One that is your normal style and one that is a bit dfferent from what you would normally do.

3) Send a picture of a completed Off the Page Item

December Card Challenge Round 1

Hi everyone

Here is the first challenge for December. Once again Designed by DT Member Mel B.

Scrappers, this week I would like to see you make a Christmas themed card. I would like you to use only christmas papers, traditional or non traditional other than your base cardstock and at least 3 different papers. The twist is I would like your card to be something other than a square. Let you imagination run wild and have fun.

Week 1 Card Challenge!!

Welcome to Week 1 of our Card Challenge. Each fortnight we will be putting up a new Card Challenge. At the end of the month we will be drawing a winner and that person will win a $15.00 voucher to be spent in our store.

The first challenge has been designed by our DT Member Mel. Ladies, This week for your card challenge I would like you to use a stamped image on your card. It can be any image you like and the card can be any theme you like.

For my card I have stamped a flower image with versamark then covered with grey embossing powder, then heated. Once it was set I coloured the flowers in with watercolour pencils.

Guest Designer Update - HELP!!!

Well we had a big electrical storm in QLD the other night and yep my computer got blown up!! Lucky it was my spare one my everyday laptop was already getting repaired from when I accidentally stepped on the screen. So to have the other one broken as well is just really bad luck. But I have my everyday laptop back now and I will see about getting my spare fixed but I am not holding my breath!!

BUT..... on my computer was all my email contacts for all the lovely ladies who signed up to be Guest Designers. So would those ladies please be able to email me again there layout and contact details to winnie78@optusnet.com.au

September Mad Scrappers Challenge Pack is available now!!

For $10 you will receive paper and embellishments to complete 4 challenges. Layouts must be emailed to me at winnie78@optusnet.com.au by the 30th of September to be in the draw!!

The challenges this month are:

1) Using the Best Mates and Mateship Pattern Paper, the Top Secret Journal Card and 3 Red Brads create a DOUBLE Layout. Tearing and Inking must be used.

2) Using the GCD Studios Fanatic Floral Pattern Paper with the string create a layout about an animal using both sides of the paper. More than 1 photo must be used.

3) Using the GCD Studios Chi Pattern Paper, lace and 2 x Domino Tiles create a layout. Bling, flowers and something/recycled must be used.

4) Using the 2 x Wendy Irving Pattern Papers and 3 x Felt Flowers create a SINGLE layout using both papers on the one page. You layout must be negative spaced!! A one word title must be used!!

Our August Mad Scrappers Challenge Pack is now available for purchase

RIGHT HERE

All you need to do is purchase the challenge kit for $10. In it your will receive paper and embellishments to complete 4 challenges!! The winner receives next months kit free!!!

1) Using the Creative Imaginations Studio Basic 101 Paper and the 2 red admit one tickets create a layout. You must include photo corners, arrows and more than 2 photos.

Your title must only be 2 words long!!

2) Using the Dream Street Contentment & Relish Pattern Papers create a layout using the scallop border. The flourishes on the contentment page must be cut out and used on the page

3) Using the Dream Street Wishes & Intuitions paper plus the 2 flowers and 3 brads create a layout using distressing and ink. NO chipboard is allowed to be used for the title.

Photo mounts or foam tape must be used on your page

4) Using the Creative Imaginations Cranberry Décor and the 2 pearl hearts create a layout with hidden journaling and using black and white photos.
