Celebrate by DT Member Emma Stafrace

I am so excited to be showcasing our new Design Teams first kit release!!

These beautiful layouts are using the Authentique Celebrate Collection.  This kit walked out the door and is already SOLD OUT.

Emma has shared how she created these gorgoeus layouts!!

The 'Enjoyment' floral pp lends itself beautifully to some fussy cutting. I created a mask by tracing some of the flowers onto some paper and then cutting it from a sheet of masking film. This enabled me to mist the background first inturn adding some depth.

I also used some of the elements stickers on this one, positioning them so they resemble brickwork, which is a fun and easy way to journal.

This page uses both sides of the 'Happy' PP from the range. I used gesso to adhere printed strips of paper onto the cardstock and then painted in a light wash of gesso over the top to knock back the bold text background. Then to add some interest I tore some of the paper and inked the tears to create a more distressed look on the edges.

Celebration Card: Using some scrap pieces from the kit, ribbon and a few of the sticker elements.

 Party Time Card: I used the 6x6 Mini basket weave TCW template on the base card, then added some tulle. I grabbed some scrap cardstock from my personal stash and used that to diecut the scalloped flower petals and using scraps from the paper kit I fussy cut some vines and leaves. In this one I used a couple of the Sticker elements too.

This one is using the 'Laughter' PP as the base with a couple of strips from the 'Happy' PP. I gessoed two areas so that I could mask the new 6x6 Mini Gears TCW template with 'Black Soot' distress ink.

The title 'The Makings of a Perfect Duo' is created using the alpha stickers from the Elements sheet. By sticking them on acetate I was then able to add a couple of foam pop dots on the back to create different heights. Lastly I added some chipboard cogs and a couple of buttons to finish it off.

 

 

 

The 'Rejoice' pp is a bold woodgrain so kept the over all design of this one minimal with lots of empty space.

Using gesso directly on the pp to ground the series of photo's and help them stand out also provided a great base to ink some circles on top of its surface for added interest. I also used some of the ribbon included in the kit to define the two clustered sections and collaged some tisuue paper to soften the whole effect.

Inspiration Friday with DT Michelle Wallace

TGIF!!!!!!  Hope is isn't to cold where you are this morning. 

I just wanted to share with you some layouts that DT Michelle Wallace has done using the Inspiration Pack. Only 4 days to get those layouts in to be in the draw!!!

This gorgeous layout has lots of the bubble wrap stamped on the page.  Michelle has also used the cardboard circle and just ripped off the top layer to show the corrugated texture and then added some paint over the top!

On this layout Michelle has used bubble wrap, sand paper, and a bottle lit to create this fun bright layout.

 I adhered the plastic mesh to recyled card using texture paste, paint washed it, textured pasted it some more and them hit the whole thing with two coast of glimmer mist which I let run. Then I ripped up some paper and added to the base.

So don't forget to get scrapping and get your layouts entered before the end of the month!!!!

Inspiration Saturday with DT Leah Cameron

Morning Everyone!!

I hope you all have a fun filled weekend planned!!  Here is some Saturday Inspiration for you from DT Member Leah Cameron

Here is another layout using the Inspiration Pack.

 I watered down some pink paint and firstly splattered it in the two corners of the background patterned paper, then "stamped" using the round foam piece.

I then used the trusty old bottle top to stamp over my other stamped bits.

On the pink piece of paper I used a silver paint and stamped with the bubble wrap (love this effect!). I also swiped around the edge of this piece with the silver paint (just using my finger).

How simple and easy is that and so effective!!!!!

Inspiration Friday!!

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all gearing up for the weekend and back to school!!!

I thought I would share with you some of my layouts with you!  I can't remember the last time I have shared my work but I have been inspired by all our challenges and competitions.

Always Remember is using our Inspiration Pack.  I have used the bubble wrap and then the bottletop to continue the circle theme.  I have even used the round cardboard circle that was in the pack.  All I did was ripe off the top layer until I could see the corrugation and then just lightly painted with white paint.

I have used one of the fab Crafters Templates Tile Texture which we have available at Mad.
